I started making mezzotints in 1987, where I learned the technique during a graphic art symposium in Hungaria. Ever since I have increasingly specialized more in this beautiful black magic art (maniere noir) making my own images looming out of the dark.

Sequence of prints, made in my graphic studio in Cleve (Germany). Combinations of different printing techniques form an interconnection between the different series of work. My fascination for stones, shells, circles, holes and black and light is combined together in these simple printing experiments.

Floor patern. This work is a compilation of 8 boxes with mirrored mezzotints. It can be placed on the floor in different patterns. The project was time-consuming, it took a full year full-time working on it (scratching and polishing). But it has been traveling around and exhibited in Germany, Greece, Russia and teh Netherlands.

In 2016 I have been invited as Artist in Recidence in Guanlan, China. An inspiring time, in which I could work hard without distraction. During this stay I was able to print 3 new works in full edition, in which perhaps Chinese influences from the kaligraphy are visible. It was a privilege to be able to work in these fantastic circumstances.
